Dr. Carolyn Walker Hopp earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida (UCF). She retired from the University of Central Florida College of Education and Human Performance. Dr. Hopp’s work focuses in multiple areas of education including professional development related to mentoring preservice and veteran teachers, and working with educators to develop curriculum, instruction, and assessment models focused on student learning and achievement.

 

She is currently affiliated with the University of Central Florida Center for Research in Education, Arts, Technology and Entertainment (CREATE) where she collaborates on designing curriculum, engaging in research, and professional development. Dr. Hopp is also known for her research in urban education as well as in designing district-wide mentoring models in Osceola and Seminole Counties (Florida) that have been commended by the state of Florida for their comprehensive approach to mentoring and professional development.
